The Laboratory for Biochemical Engineering, Industrial Microbiology, Brewing and Malting Technology, Pierottijeva 6, 10000 Zagreb, is a part of Department of Biochemical Engineering on the Faculty of Food Technology and Biotechnology, University of Zagreb, Croatia/.

Our Laboratory covers the research in different fields:

-   Bioprocess engineering

-   Plant construction

-   Process development

-   Industrial microbiology

-   Physiology of industrial microorganisms

-   Brewing, malting, winery and vinegar processes

The special fields of Bioprocess engineering work group are:

-    Bioreactor performance

-    Mixing and mathematical modeling of mixing in bioreactors

-    Mathematical modeling of biotechnological and metabolic processes

-    Bioprocess kinetic

-    Sustainability of bioprocesses and renewable resources
